Real Weddings - Eden & Kyle

Eden and Kyle were married at The Olive Grove on the Central Coast. Here’s what they had to say about their big day.

How did you meet? We actually met on Facebook! We had some mutual friends online and Kyle added me after I popped up in his 'people you may know' suggestions haha!

What wedding vibe were you after? We were after a comfortable, intimate and fun-filled day. We wanted everyone (and ourselves) to feel relaxed throughout especially.

How did you choose your outfits? A LOT of Pinterest and Instagram scrolling for style inspiration! I was very fortunate to find my dress second-hand on StillWhite which I immediately fell in love with, and Kyle found an amazing suit at our local Tarocash store.

How did you decide on your venue? After downsizing our original plans of a 90-person wedding to a 22-person wedding, we were after a venue that was comfortable and intimate for our guests, but still had plenty of space for our ceremony and photo opportunities. It was also important to us that the venue was local on the Central Coast - so The Olive Grove in The Quarters, Forrester's Beach ticked all of our boxes!

What was the best thing you did to make your wedding easier? The best thing we did was to book a venue that offered all-inclusive wedding packages. Our fantastic venue co-ordinator Kitty was a dream to work with - and having her help us select our food, drinks, decor and everything in between made the planning process so much easier for us. Also, finding incredible local vendors that were all so kind and easy to work and communicate with was one of the highlights of our smooth-planning!

Lots of people get nervous before their wedding, did you?   We did! But we actually decided to spend the night before our wedding together and this absolutely helped ease the nerves.

Is there anything that you would change about your day? The only thing I would have changed, is that I wish we booked a DJ for our reception. Being that we only had 22 guests, we figured that a Spotify playlist would do the job - and it did! But I think having a DJ would have enhanced the atmosphere for sure.

Have you got any advice for a couple planning their wedding? From our experience - be open to your initial ideas and preferences of your dream wedding changing throughout the planning process (because there's a good chance they will!), and communicate with your partner openly about those changes! Happy planning ❤️
